両面に映像投影可能な和紙製障子プロジェクションマッピング。表には、さいたま市内の120の地名と伝説をイラスト映像化し、障子の枠一つ一つにそれぞれ異なる映像を投影。裏には、さいたま市の現在の風景をコラージュ化した映像を投影した。
つまり過去と現在という相反する要素を同一の障子枠内で表現することにより、特徴がないと言われがちなさいたま市のアイデンティティを、相反する時間軸から捉え直す試み。
郷土史料15冊以上（埼玉県伝説集成、浦和市史、大宮市史 等）を調査し、さいたま市内120の地名の由来と伝説を地形に沿ってマッピング。画像生成にはMidjourneyを使いながら、Photoshopで色味修正やバレ消しを行い、4,800枚以上を生成・選別した。裏面の映像には、作家が18年間さいたま市内に住む中で撮りためた写真や動画を素材として使用し、コラージュや多重露光を用いながら国土地理院地図を動画生成AIで動かした。

A projection-mapping work on washi shoji screens that can be projected on from both sides. On the front, the names and legends of 120 places in Saitama City are turned into illustrated animations, with a different video projected into each frame of the shoji. On the back, a collage video of present-day Saitama City is projected.
By expressing the opposing elements of past and present within the same shoji frame, the work attempts to reconsider the identity of Saitama City, a place often said to have no distinctive character, across contrasting timelines.
More than 15 local history sources, including collections of Saitama legends and the municipal histories of Urawa and Omiya, were researched to map the origins and legends of 120 place names in Saitama City along its terrain. Using Midjourney for image generation and Photoshop for color correction and retouching, more than 4,800 images were generated and curated. The back-side video uses photos and footage the artist accumulated over 18 years of living in Saitama City, and animates maps from the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan with generative video AI through collage and multiple exposure.
